Life and career

Mihiro was born in Niigata prefecture on May 19, 1982. She began a career as a softcore nude model as early as May 2002 when her video Dream (どりーむ) was released followed by the publication of the similarly named photobook Dream (夢) in August 2002.[2][3] She appeared in a number of other softcore nude modeling videos and photobooks over the next year and a half. Mihiro also acted in softcore V-Cinema productions during this time including the January 2004 movie Heisei Sekuhara Bushidou directed by Naoyuki Tomomatsu.She was also featured as a singer in a J-Pop Maxi single titled Sunflower (ヒマワリ) for Dream Robot in October 2004.

AV debut – Alice Japan & MAX-A

Mihiro made her debut as an AV actress on January 28, 2005 when Alice Japan released her video Little Angel. Her transition from nude model to adult actress was described as “The biggest news for 2005!!” in the world of Japanese porn.A month later, she made her first video for the MAX-A studio, Super Star. For the next two and a half years until mid-2007, Mihiro made about one AV a month alternating between Alice Japan and MAX-A.

Her next two videos took her out of the studio: the March 2005 title for Alice Japan, Love Dreamer, takes her to Saipan to look for a scene she has dreamed aboutwhile in her April MAX-A entry Kitsch, she travels to Hokkaido.At the same time, Mihiro was also appearing on TV in the TV-Asahi drama Tokumei Kakarichō Tadano Hitoshi’ (特命係長·只野仁?) or Mission Section Chief Hitoshi Tadano. She began 2006 with a regular role in TV Tokyo’s romantic comedy, 2nd House (2ndハウス or 2nd Hausu), which ran in 12 episodes from January to March of 2006.In April 2006, she was one of the leads in the V-Cinema horror film, Zombie Self-Defense Force (ゾンビ自衛隊 or Zonbi jieitai) directed by pink film and horror movie director Naoyuki Tomomatsu.

Throughout 2006, she also continued alternating monthly adult videos including appearing in MAX-A’s Welcome to Max Soap!! series and Alice Japan’s long-running Sexy Butt (Mejiri) series. With Akiho Yoshizawa and others, she also appeared in two elaborate adult video Edo period historical dramas, The Inner Palace: Indecent War, and the sequel The Inner Palace: Flower of War both released by MAX-A under the DoraMax label in 2006.[19][20] In addition to the hardcore videos, they were both released in shorter softcore versions.

In another genre, Mihiro was the star of the November 2006 V-Cinema release Yo-Yo Sexy Girl Cop (スケパン刑事　バージンネーム＝諸見栄サキ Sukepan deka: Bājin nēmu = Moromie Saki), an erotic parody of the manga-inspired movie Yo-Yo Girl Cop. She plays a teen-aged undercover government agent armed with a steel yo-yo and see-through panties. One reviewer commented that Mihiro’s was “the only performance of note”. The DVD was released in the US with English subtitles in November 2008.[25]

Her last video in 2006 was the “psycho suspense” Woman In The Forest for MAX-A. At the AV Actress Grand Prix Awards held at the end of 2006, Mihiro won one of the Best Actress Awards for Excellence for her performances in 2006.

Mihiro continued her singing career with an all AV Idol group, the Man-zoku ディーバ Divas which originally consisted of Mihiro, Akiho Yoshizawa and Naho Ozawa. Ozawa later left the group which was eventually expanded to five singers.

The beginning of 2007 saw her in the Alice Japan feature Ani-Cos Japan / 4 Characters X 4 Sexes, a cosplay work where she plays four different anime characters[31] as well as an S&M “suspense-drama” for MAX-A, Uniform Hunted, Mihiro[32] Her final videos for the two studios were the Alice Japan “nakadashi” video Real Idol, Cum Inside![33] and the appropriately titled Last Chapter for MAX-A released in June 2007, 16 months after her debut with the studio.[34] Mihiro returned to TV work in 2007 in the TV Asahi suspense drama Tissue (ティッシュ) which was broadcast April-June 2007.

Later career – Maxing & S1

From July 2007, Mihiro began making videos with two new AV studios, Maxing[37] and S1 No. 1 Style[38]. She kept to her previous pattern of doing one movie per month, alternating between the two companies. Her second feature for Maxing, Super Rider, had her performing in the “Cowgirl position” throughout the video.[39] At the 2007 Vegas Night Moodyz Awards, Mihiro took the 2nd Place Award for Best Actress and her debut video for S1, Hyper-Risky Mosaic Mihiro, directed by Hideto Aki, won the Best Title Award.[40]

Mihiro began 2008 with a video for Maxing in their flagship “Dirty Talk” series, Mihiro Will Make You Cum With Full Dirty Language, where she plays a variety of characters, including an insurance agent and a young wife, who excite men with dirty language.[41] Through 2008, she also appeared in several of the popular S1 series: “Massive Ejaculation on Her Face”, “Costumes Pakopako!”, “Endless Climax! Ultra Ecstasy Fuck”, “Big Magnum Fuck” and “Hyper-Risky Mosaic”.[38]

In the mainstream film arena, she starred as Ms Lin, the owner of a dumpling shop with a “secret ingredient”, in director Koji Kawano’s 2008 V-Cinema erotic horror-comedy Cruel Restaurant (Zankoku hanten).[42][43] Along with other S1 actresses Sora Aoi, Yuma Asami and Rio (Tina Yuzuki), Mihiro was one of the regular cast members doing songs and comedy on the late night TV Osaka variety show Please Muscat (おねがい マスカット Onegai Muscat?) which began broadcasting in April 2008.[44] She has also done a number of TV skits with Japanese comedian Ken Shimura.

In 2009 Mihiro continued her AV career with S1 and Maxing but she also appeared in major roles in theatrical movies, the first being in March, in the drama SR: Saitama’s Rapper (ＳＲ　サイタマノラッパー SR: Saitama no rappā?). The movie follows a group of aspiring rap singers in Tokyo’s Saitama prefecture.The film was awarded the Grand Prix at the 19th Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival in 2009.In June 2009 she was in The Grudge: Old Lady in White (呪怨　白い老女 Ju-on: Shiroi rōjo?), part of the famous Japanese Ju-on series re-made in the US as The Grudge.Later, in July she had a part in the action-horror gore-fest by director Kengo Kaji, Samurai Princess: Devil Princess (サムライプリンセス　外道姫 Samurai purinsesu: Gedō-hime?).

Also in 2009, she traveled to Korea to promote a four part dramatic TV series Korean Classroom, a joint Korean-Japanese production which aired on Korean TV in May 2009. The series, which also starred AV Idols Sora Aoi and Rio (Tina Yuzuki), deals with three Japanese girls who travel to Korea and fall for some local men.

Ai Takahashi (高橋 愛 Takahashi Ai, born September 14, 1986) is a Japanese pop singer associated with Hello! Project, best known as the current leader of Morning Musume, former member of its popular subgroup, Mini Moni, and most recently given the leadership role as Hello! Project’s leader.

Ai Takahashi joined Morning Musume in 2001 as part of the group’s fifth generation, along with Makoto Ogawa, Asami Konno, and Risa Niigaki. Her debut with the group was on their single “Mr. Moonlight: Ai no Big Band”, and her first appearance on a Morning Musume full-length release was their fourth studio album, the appropriately named 4th Ikimasshoi!. Her first appearance within a Hello! Project shuffle unit release was on the 2002 single “Shiawase Beam! Suki Suki Beam!” under the group name Happy 7.

In 2003, Takahashi replaced Mari Yaguchi in the Morning Musume spinoff group Mini Moni, first appearing in the group’s movie Mini Moni ja Movie: Okashi na Daibōken! and its accompanying soundtrack. Her best-known nickname amongst non-Japanese fans, “Takitty”, was derived from the cat suit (complete with tail) which she wears in the movie.

Later in 2003, she was part of the Morning Musume splinter group Morning Musume Sakuragumi, which performed mainly slower numbers on the group’s two EPs, “Hare Ame Nochi Suki” and “Sakura Mankai”, and the shuffle group 7Air, an R&B-inspired septet.

Takahashi’s vocals became more prominent on the second and final Mini Moni album, Mini Moni Songs 2 (2004), as well as on Morning Musume’s singles from their Spring 2004 release “Roman: My Dear Boy” onward. She also had a duet with Tsunku on the cover version of Tsunku and Ayumi Hamasaki’s duet “Love: Since 1999″ on his solo album Take1.

In 2005, Morning Musume’s first single release of the year, “The Manpower!!!”, featured Takahashi in a prominent co-lead-vocal role, a role she has retained on subsequent singles since. In the summer of that year, she became part of the 2005 shuffle Group Elegies.

In 2006, Takahashi played the lead role, Sapphire, in the musical “Ribbon no Kishi The Musical” which was a collaboration work of Takarazuka Revue (a famous Japanese all-female musical group) and Hello! Project. The musical was based on Tezuka Osamu’s manga and also starred v-u-den, Nozomi Tsuji, Aya Matsuura, and Natsumi Abe, as well as Marcia and Kaoru Ebira of the Takarazuka Revue. Soon thereafter, Takahashi released her first and only solo single to date, “Yume Kara Samete”.

Following then-leader Hitomi Yoshizawa’s graduation from Morning Musume on May 6, 2007, the current sub-leader, Miki Fujimoto ascended to the leader position, with Takahashi becoming the new sub-leader of the group. However, on June 1, 2007, after Fujimoto’s resignation,[2][3] Takahashi took over as the new leader.

Takahashi is also captain of the Hello! Project kickball team, Metro Rabbits H.P..

In 2008 Takahashi became a member of Hello Project’s new unit High-King, a group created to promote Morning Musume’s upcoming Cinderella the Musical, in which Takahashi will play the main character.

It was announced in July 2008, that Takahashi and fellow Morning Musume member Risa Niigaki would play the 80s J-Pop duo Pink Lady in the TV Drama Hitmaker Aku Yuu Monogatari.[5][6]

As of January 2009, she and Risa Niigaki have the longest tenures of any member. She is also one of only four members to remain in the group for seven years or more (the others being Kaori Iida, Yoshizawa and Niigaki) and one of two (along with Niigaki) to remain in the group for eight years.

On February 1, 2009, during the “Hello Pro Award ‘09 ~Elder Club Sotsugyō Kinen Special~” concert held at Yokohama Arena, Yuko Nakazawa passed on her leadership position in Hello! Project to Takahashi.
